Favorite Things Friday – Nail Polish

This past week I cut out some time for myself and painted my nails for the first time in a long, long time! So long, that I can’t even remember when the last time was… Before Brynlee, I painted my nails all the time, but now, I always have a hard time finding the time.

A few weeks ago, I came across this nail polish brand while grocery shopping at Sprouts (Target and Ulta also sell it or you can get it on Amazon) and bonus, it was on sale for $5.99! It struck my interest because it is formaldehyde, toluene, camphor and butyl phthalate free. I’ve also become a lot more conscious about the harmful chemicals that we are subjecting ourselves to since having Brynlee and I am trying to find affordable alternatives. This nail polish fits the bill perfectly; regular price is $7.99, which is still cheaper than my prior OPI and Essie obsession. In my experience, the Mineral Fusion nail polish goes on incredibly smooth! I’ve had trouble with other brands bubbling up or having a bumpy finish. Maybe that’s just me, but I don’t feel like I did anything different this time than in the past when I’ve painted my nails and with the Mineral Fusion nail polish it looks like I had my nails done at the salon. I purchased Slate, the picture really doesn’t do it justice, it is the perfect color for fall and while I plan on trying additional colors I already know this one will be a go to.
