Can’t Live Without – My Sewing Machine

For this today’s Can’t Live Without It I’m going to have to mention my sewing machine. For as long as I can remember (and as far as every family members account of my younger years), whenever I would get overwhelmed or go through a season of being super busy, at the end of it all I would take a few days, or even a week and spend that whole time creating. Back then I was in to all sorts of mediums and I would just use whatever was convenient at the time. Nowadays, my recharging method of choice is some good quality time with my Brother.

A life long sewist I am not… I will have to post my sewing story another day, but what I want to say is that this machine is perfect for the novice on up! I love this machine! It is easy to use, it has a lot of useful features and I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to learn to sew or is just looking for a good, reliable and affordable machine! I try to make time to sit down with my brother a few times a week and if I go longer than a week without having a meet with my machine I can definitely tell. Like I said, this is my way of recharging. When life gets super busy or overwhelming I love that I can just sit down at my machine, spend a few hours, and create something that’s unique. It doesn’t matter if it is from a pattern that hundreds or thousands of others have used, or if it’s just another pillow cover (nothing new about those), but the fact that I created it with my own two hands is empowering and helps to motivate me through the other (maybe not so fun) tasks that need to be done.

What are some of your outlets for recharging, I’d love to hear them!
