Guest Bedroom Progress

I’m so excited to share the progress we’ve made in our guest bedroom today! When Lincoln was born, we had to convert our old guest bedroom into his nursery, so when we moved into our new house I was so happy to be able to have dedicated place for guests to stay. Most of our family is from out of town, so I really wanted to make this room a comfortable and welcoming place for them to stay when they visit.

I found this upholstered queen bed on Wayfair for under $200 during one of their sales! Even my husband was surprised by the quality of this bed, considering the price, while he was putting it together. And also, Wayfair has the best customer service!

I was a little concerned about the color online, since we painted the room BM Revere Pewter (color matched to Behr), I wasn’t sure how the two grays would look together. But I’m happy to say that they really compliment each other.

I also really like the weave texture on the headboard, it gives it a nice dimension instead of being a flat color.

The nightstands are super old, from Ikea, that used to be in our Master. We’ve since upgrade (finally) and I’ll share that soon, if we ever finish painting…. I am so tired of painting!

The candle is from World Market and the ring dish came in my last Fab Fit Fun box.

After buying a Tuft and Needle Mattress for our own bed, we knew we wanted to get one for our guests too! We purchased this mattress protector (that we already have on our bed and Brynlee’s and love it!). For the bedding I found this sheet set, they are super soft and for under $25 I’m not worried about potentially needing to replace them should something happen. Same goes for this under $25 Duvet Set that I purchased in a king size so it would drape nicely down the sides of the bed. To add some color to the space I found this quilt set at Target. I wanted the main bedding to be white (easy to bleach), so I would have the option of changing out the accents throughout the seasons.

I’m still on the hunt for lamps, or sconces since the nightstands are rather small, drapes, wall decor and a few other small accessories. I have to be honest, I’m a little stumped as to what to do above the bed, with those two small windows there I can’t decide if I need to find some sort of window covering or maybe at a wreath… I just don’t know, let me know if you have any suggestions!
