Hey Everyone, sorry I went a little MIA last week, things got a little crazy around here and we are still trying to get used to our new school schedule. But I’m back for another round of #BMlunchboxdiaries and make sure you’re following along in Instagram to see what we pack each day.
So let’s get to it, as always, all sources are linked below:
Monday: After seeing me write Vol. 2, Brynlee request Mac and Cheese in her lunch on this day, I also included Watermelon and for her snack Snap Pea Crisps.
Tuesday: PB&J (I used this heart shaped sandwich cutter and Brynlee loved it), along with Snap Pea Crisps, Carrots with Hummus and Trail Mix. Her snack was an Applesauce pouch.
Wednesday: Watermelon, Strawberries, a pumpkin muffin, a Yogurt Stick, Carrots and Pretzels with Hummus. Wednesdays are half days, so she doesn’t have a snack.
Thursday: Turkey and Cheese Croissant Sandwich, Applesauce, Sliced Cucumbers with Hummus and Fruit Leather. I also included a chocolate chip cookie from our Wednesday baking session. For her snack, Annie’s cheddar bunnies.
Friday: Homemade Lunchable- Mary’s Gone Crackers (our favorite!), Turkey and Cheddar. Cucumber Slices, Snap Pea Crisps and Watermelon. Her snack that day was Graham Crackers.
Resources for our lunch prep station:
From the top, lunch boxes are PBKids, Purple and Blue Bentgo (also here), Ziploc 3 compartment (I found them at Target for less, but wasn’t able to find them on target.com, I did find this similar one from Up & Up for the same price I paid),
I also bought pink forks and spoons for her lunches from Target to make it more fun! The square and heart food cups are great for breaking up larger compartments in the bento boxes. The napkins are all from the Target dollar bin, I pick them up whenever they go on clearance, again just something to make her lunches a little more fun.
Water Bottle- We love this PBK water bottle, it holds ice all day (which is saying something considering we’ve been under severe hear advisory for the whole first week of school). I also got the matching thermos, but haven’t had a chance to use it, it’s just been too hot!
Mini cups with lids– I purchased these on a whim at Target (again, I can’t find them on target.com, but they are next to the other food storage containers and much cheaper), but I am so glad I did! These are completely leak proof and work great for housing dips or other small snacks that you don’t want to be loose.
And lastly, not pictured are these small storage containers that I use for Brynlee’s snacks so they don’t get crushed in a plastic baggie and they have been the perfect size for a small afternoon snack.
I hope this helps with your school lunch prep and please let me know if you have any other questions about our lunches or where I got something!
Also, I’d love to know what some of your favorite lunch boxes items are, leave a comment letting me know!
And thanks for following along!
