Friday Favorites (and free Valentine’s printables)

Soccer Saturdays- Brynlee started soccer a few weeks ago and it has been so much fun! She has practice, then a game every Saturday morning. We make it a family affair and all get up and go together (even if the previous night with Lincoln was rough) and Landon has even helped out with coaching a bit. Brynlee loves having us there and involved and we love watching her play. Honestly, I was quite surprised by how well these little 3 year olds play. I was expecting a lot of distractions and just sitting down in the middle of the field, but for the most part they are running and kicking the ball the entire game!

Mini Chicken Bacon Ranch Pot Pies

These Chicken Bacon Ranch Pot Pies are divine! Super easy to make and the whole family will love them, even Brynlee said how much she enjoyed hers and she has been super picky lately.

Have you seen BaubleBar’s new Target line, SugarFix? So many beautiful pieces, here are a few of my favorites. At a great price point too, these are all under $20!

Speaking of beautiful things (and just in time for Valentine’s Day) how gorgeous and fun is this heart shaped Le Creuset dutch oven? I have been pining for it since the moment I saw it, I would love to add it to my kitchen.

With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, I finally got around to making Brynlee’s Valentine’s.

For her to pass out to both her dance and preschool classes I made these bubble Valentine’s. Brynlee is really in to bubbles right now We are having some beautiful weather lately so everyone is spending a lot of time outdoors right now and I thought bubbles would be perfect!

I just designed the tag (free printable below), printed then cut them and attached one to each tube of bubbles with curling ribbon I already had, so I was able to make 32 of these for around $6.

I love that the bubbles have a heart on the top, making them extra festive!

For Brynlee’s teachers I picked up some local olive oil while I was at Queen Creek Olive Mill the other day, they make the best olive oil and I always loving going and taste testing them. Plus they have amazing food there, I haven’t found one dish that wasn’t delicious.

Anyway, I made a tag that said ‘”Olive” having you for a teacher!’ (free printable below)  attached it with ribbon and now we are all set for Valentine’s Day.

I love coming up with non-candy solutions for festivities like these. We only let Brynlee eat candy on rare occasions and even then she only gets one piece, so most of the time the candy just goes to waste.

I hope you all have a great weekend!

Friday Favorites

It’s been a while since I’ve done one of these, but I have so many new favorite things, I had to share them with you today!

My new planner!

I love this thing, it has a great whole month layout and I love having some space to jot down quick notes.

And the weekly section is exactly what I was looking for. I love that each day is broken down into 3 sections. I use one of our daily to-do’s- appointments, play dates, when it’s my turn for snack day, the second section I use for the blog, what post I have planned for which day and any to-do’s, like photo shoots, that I need to do and the last section I use for meal planning (I’m vowing to start that up again this year).

I also love that at the beginning of each month there is a fun little quote and a section for birthdays, to write monthly goals or anything else important that I might need to remember. Plus there are a ton of accessories you can get to decorate you planner and if you don’t want one so big, it comes in a mini edition.

I stopped in Maurice’s the other day after dropping Brynlee off at school. Among a few other things, I left with these sunglasses, I think they will be perfect for Spring. Maurice’s had so many cute things, I’ll have to make another stop sometime soon!

I got these Nike’s for Christmas and oh my goodness, do I love them! They are so comfortable and go with almost anything! They are perfect for walks to the park, chasing after a toddler, running errands and for our soccer Saturdays.

My new Solly Baby Wrap, there are no words for how much I love this things! My only regret is that I didn’t order it sooner! It has been a total game changer in my daily productivity, now that I can finally get my hands back.

Play dates! I’ve been having a lot of mom guilt lately over not spending enough time with Brynlee, I know she feels it and we’ve had a few rough moments because of it. It breaks my heart to know how she feels and to know that she doesn’t completely understand why I all of a sudden can’t give her my full, undivided attention like I used to. We did everything together and I always tried to make things fun for her, now we are spending a lot more time at home and I know she gets bored and frustrated. I am so thankful when we get the opportunity to get together with our group of her friends (and mine too) to do something fun. We got to go to a birthday party over the weekend and this week we saw Sing and had lunch with all her friends. She had so much fun and I was so grateful to see how happy she was.

Do you have any new favorites for the new year?

5 on Friday

Happy Friday Friends!

I hope you all had a wonderful (short) week! I’m looking forward to a nice relaxing weekend after the craziness of last weekend.

1. We were super busy last weekend and have plans to lay low this weekend. Maybe work on the nursery a bit, spend time together as a family (yay! Daddy’s home!) and most of all relax! I might even sneak a nap or two in. On the menu is a family favorite, Damn Delicious Sweet and Sour Chicken, I have made this dish SO. MANY. TIMES. and it never disappoints! Definitely a healthier version of the take out fav and is so great for leftovers. We are also planning on smoking some ribs, no need to heat up the house if we don’t have to, right? We really like this recipe, they are literally fall off the bone, melt in your mouth delicious!

2. Speaking of the nursery, I am in love with this quilt by Elizabeth Hartman! I’m trying to work up the courage to give this a go, it’s definitely more piecing than I’ve ever done. I’d make all the foxes in the color scheme I have planned for the nursery and I love the adding glasses option.

3. I’d be remiss to not mention pumpkin spice latte season… As I’m sure all your social media feeds have been blowing up with PSL pics this last week. I really do love the pumpkin spice latte and look forward to it every year. Brynlee also got her first Starbucks this week, a chocolate milk that the barista graciously offered to make her when she was feeling a little left out during our coffee order. It made her day and now she is always requesting her own “coffee”.

4. Also, don’t forget today is National Teddy Bear Day and Build a Bear is offering $5 teddy bears in-store today. We will be going with our moms group and a few of Brynlee’s friends. She’s never been before so I’m really excited to see her reaction to it!

5. Help!!! Brynlee has started waking up early wanting to come downstairs and play. Not super early, but somewhere around 4am-5am and definitely too early for me! I am looking for one of those night lights that you can program to shine a different color when its okay to wake up and when its time to sleep. I think that she just doesn’t realize how early it is and am hoping that this will solve the question about whether its time to wake up or not. So please, give me and and all your recommendations, or if you have any other suggestions to dealing with this.

Have a great weekend!
